Day 1  - I covered a considerable amount of grounds

Only a month prior, I was on the same grounds for Eat Drink Vegan. Now, the Rose Bowl has once again converted itself to host a transformative music festival. An event where performances ranged from The Pretenders to Jack White and where food vendors ranged from Cena Vegan to Sumo Dog.

I  saw incredible performances by Shakey Graves, The Pretenders, Jack White and North Mississippi Allstars.

I found most of the food vendors were either vegan or had vegan options. A few I was able to grab dishes on Day 1 were from Monty's, Yoga-urt and Ms. Chi's Cafe (I have no pictures from Ms. Chi's because at that point I was starved and scarfed all the delicious morsels down before anyone could say, "wanna split?").

We also found, there's no better way to beat the heat on a hot day in June then by picking up a refreshing cider from 101 Cider House. It was my "beer" of choice for the day.

Lastly, I couldn't help but take some pics with Hendrick's Gin–a company I've appreciate for some time. They touch the part of my that loves strong, consistent quality design. They also know how to grab attention at an event!

Day 2 -

Now that I knew what I was getting myself into I went armed with a hat, tennis shoes and SPF. I was ready to walk, ready to dive into delicious dishes and ready to listen to fantastic bands ESPECIALLY ALANIS!!! But first, we found hydrating was going to be key. Fresh, watermelon water without any added sugars gave us life thanks to Romega Taqueria .

From there we were able to grab a ginormous nacho boat from Cena Vegan, a slice of pizza and one Nashville hot shrooms from Donna Jean before sitting down to listen to Kamasi Washington.

After we took the time to escape under the shaded tree and indulge in the delicious festival picnic fare while listening to the eclectic stylings of the artist, we had to make a mad dash to go see Alanis Morissette!

Like so many kids who grew up in the 90's, Alanis made quite an impression on me. I can't tell you how many times I listened to Jagged Little Pill or re-watched Dogma. I was a fan....OR HELL, I'm stil a fan! She rocked it out and nailed her songs!

Seeing her made my weekend complete. After that, we walked around, took in a few other bands and said adieu.

My partner in crime for the weekend and I had a fantastic experience; walking included.
