The charm of brick arches above restorative wood tables flourishes against the well curated glass bar and the stainless steel seven barrel brews. If you can't make it to Belgium this summer, take a stop into Bluebird to get a taste.

Like the other ABC family owned restaurants Bluebird's is both a vegan/non-vegan establishment.

On this particular visit, I was invited to try their new brunch menu items.

First up on the agenda were the cocktails. I can respect an establishment that creates a menu with a mix of liquor options. It was not all tequila or rum or vodka or gin. It was all of the above. My preference was to go with a gin beverage (above) and it was fantastic. The mixologist was on point when they created this option.

When it came to the vegan dishes, we tried them all (some of the options will eventually vary depending on season):

The range of options from the merguez-spiced, frites stuffed Impossible Burger to the incredible Just Eggs Quiche with Follow Your Heart and Kite Hill cheese at a brewery is nothing short of amazing.

In my book, this spot is a winning option for a multitude of events; awkward Tinder dates, family brawls, gaggle of girls dinner, post breakup sob fests...I approve of it all...just don't park your table next to mine.
