It's the perfect location for Seabirds Kitchen–a small, organic, seasonal vegan restaurant.

Read MoreThere are days when cashew cream slathered on bread sounds mighty delicious and then there are days (more often than not) where something fresh and green makes my body swoon.
In this recipe, I’m bringing together a refreshing, nutritious, DEFREAKNLIOUS green salad and a gluten-free, NON-GMO, low calorie, Sunfood Coconut Wrap that'll leave you swooning for days.
Aside from the surprising amount of flavor this wrap packs, it’s perfectly filling–leaving you pleasantly satisfied versus couch ridden.
A leisurely drive into the mountains of West Virginia gave us an opportunity to enjoy the changing landscape between the two states.
We arrived just in time for dinner. I swear I didn’t plan that.
This was one of the most beautiful farmers market salads with hickory smoked cashew cheese dressing I’ve ever created.

Of course, this year has been phenomenally progressive in the vegan department, but it has also exceeded my expectations in getting to know so many wonderful individuals I now call friends.
Lots of love, lots of compassion and lots of heart is what I will bring with me into 2016 along with pushing the limits and forgetting the boundaries.

Two Moms in the Raw are at it again, but this time they have altered their ingredients…FOR THE BETTER! Taking a page from the progressive book, they have taken out agave and replaced it with coconut nectar.
Coconut nectar is still processed, but it is far less processed than agave. Agave may rank low on the glycemic index making it a suitable option for diabetics, but it ranks very high in fructose content. So high in fact that it is on par with high fructose corn syrup, which is a really big no no.

I’ve thought about trying a meal delivery service plenty of times—I’ve always been curious, but I’ve never taken the time to seek out which delivery service would fit my dietary needs and wants.
My thoughts on the subject have always been that it seems like a great way for one to stay on track, to facility productivity and to introduce variety into ones diet. At the moment all the reasons above pertained to my current situation, which made the timing perfect to sample Veestro-a plant-based, non-gmo meal delivery service.
We are miraculous creatures, we have the ability to feel when our bodies crave healing foods, herbs and minerals. Sequentially, we can then heal ourselves.
Yesterday I heard mine loud and clear and in turn, I acted. I knew I needed to give my body the nourishment it was craving.

With that being said, I managed to push forward and make it one of the best damn Traveling Vegan trips to date
